Women's Role in worship

This is an area where the teachings of scripture have been supplanted by the preferences of people. "Change" seems to be the religion of many in our modern times. There is no doubt that biblical teachings prohibit women leading and teaching in a public setting (non-public setting is not under consideration here). The challenge to the scriptures comes with the assertion that these scriptures only apply to the culture of the time in which they were written. Please examine them and decide for yourself.

  1. As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.

  2. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
